INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER 6 CYLINDER POWER
International Harvester produced a huge range of tractors and farm machinery during
its long existence, both in its native USA and around the globe. Perhaps the most iconic of all its products are the six-cylinder tractors that provided the core of the firm’s tractorrange for over three decades, and this DVD tells the story of those machines.
From the IH 706 of the 1960s to the Case IH Magnum of the 1990s, this DVD delves
into the history of the six-cylinder line both in the USA and in Europe where two
separate, but equally superb tractor ranges, were produced. By filming various tractors
still at work today and talking to enthusiasts of the brand, we soon discover just why
these tractors have such a hold over so many people.
As you will see, our very own Stephen Richmond is one such person, the Case IH 956XL
that was the first tractor he used in anger on the farm on which he worked,
certainly managing to get under HIS skin!
Tractors featured include: IH 706, 1466, 676, 946, 1046, 1255, 1455, 955XL, 956XL,
1056XL, 1255XL, 1455XL, 3588, 6388 and 5288 and also Case IH 956XL, 1056XL,
1255XL, 1455XL, Magnum 7220 and Magnum 7230 Pro. From Rock Island in Illinois to
Neuss in Germany, this DVD brings the heyday of the red tractors back to life!
