94 Series Farming is Anglian Agri Media’s latest new forthcoming DVD. The programme celebrates the Case and Case-IH 94 Series, the last models to be built in the former David Brown factory at Meltham in West Yorkshire which effectively marked the end of the line for the historic David Brown brand. The 94 series story is one of evolution rather than revolution, with refinement resulting in a range of tractors which can still be found in use on British farms today and are enjoying ever-growing interest from enthusiasts.

The programme follows the farming year with a Cambridgeshire fenland farm where a 1494 and 1594 are used in frontline roles, as well as looking at numerous examples of other key models at work in different locations. Certain features of the range are looked at in more detail, such as the high-clear option. The previous DB 90-series range is also briefly touched upon, to get a sense of where the development stemmed from, as well as US-made Case models.

Models featured include the full range of British-made 94 Series types, these being the 1194, 1294, 1394, 1494, 1594 and 1694, with examples of many shown in both the ‘magpie’ livery and later Case-IH red and black colour scheme. Many period implements are also encountered, with a diverse range of activities covered including ploughing, discing, power harrowing, drilling, rolling, hoeing, fertiliser spreading, spraying, mowing, tedding, rowing-up, baling, wrapping and hedgecutting.
