Our Tractor Fleet
FORD 7810 III
This Ford 7810 III found its way into our hands all the way from Cornwall. Purchased off a farmer who used it to haul mini diggers about this never really tested the 100hp six cylinder engine. Its vintage is of 1990 and after a full restoration project, carried out over 6 years the tractor had its first public appearance at the 2007 Grand Henham Steam Rally, where it was also driven round the main ring as part of a display on the history of the plough, all carefully watched by Mr John Craven from BBC TV.
MARSHALL 904XL
LEYLAND 154
The little 25hp Leyland 154 is a small but powerful machine ideal for light work such as mowing. Built in 1977 this little gem had never been registered for the road until we bought it from the Cheffins monthly sale in Cambridgeshire in 2006. It had a well earned spruce up during the 2007 Christmas period ready to resume work early in 2008.
One of only 100 produced it was hand built in Gainsborough in 1985 and spent most of its working life in Ireland. Its 4/98 Leyland four cylinder engine puts out 92hp with the aid of a turbocharger. Since arriving in Suffolk in 2005, from a dealer in Yorkshire, it has carried out several carting jobs and hedgecutting duties
The little 25hp four cylinder Leyland 154 is the ideal tractor for small tasks such as mowing and rolling grassland. Bought from the Cheffins monthly auction at Sutton in Cambridgeshire and brought home to Suffolk on a trailer, this little machine may be small but it is by far the hardest working tractor of our entire collection.
LEYLAND 472
The 72hp four cylinder Leyland 472 had an epic journey from the Cheshire boarder where we purchased it from. It got about 40 miles away from us back at the hauliers yard before being whisked away up to Newark where the lorry had to drop off a sprayer at the Lamma Show. It did finally make its way back to us, but minus the front windscreen. Luckily the driver saw the glass fall out, landing inside the cab unbroken!
LEYLAND 804
This X reg 'Golden Harvest' Leyland 804 pumps out 82hp from the 4/98 turbocharged Leyland block. Purchased in May 2008 the Leyland 804 was only produced from 1980 to 1982, when it made way for the Marshall 804
