This web site is something that we have wished to build for a very long time. We have both been interested in tractors and farming in general for as long as we can remember. We both grew up in Suffolk near the most easterly point of the UK watching 1970s farm equipment at work which saw the begining of an all-consuming passion for tractors that has, if anything, grown in size over the years. Our first book, Modern Tractors, was published in 1996 and was followed by five further books and a large number of video productions. Still living in Suffolk we have now taken our hobby further with a growing fleet of British built Ford, Marshall and Leyland tractors dating from the 1970s, 80s and 90s.
At the beginning of 2009 we started Tractor Barn Productions with the intention of producing our own DVD programmes. Our first release was volume one of Working Tractors followed by the first in the Farming Diaries series both of which have proved to be very popular. Our aim as tractor and farm machinery enthusiasts is to produce a whole range of DVD programmes that celebrate both vintage, classic and modern tractors and farm equipment.
The next stage of our plan for Tractor Barn was to acquire a showmans trailer to go around the country selling our products and those of Old Pond Publishing - our official distributer - at various plough days, steam rallies and other events. We achieved this in 2010 with the trailer attending its first show in May of that year.
Also in 2010 we achieved another important milestone with Tractor Barn Productions being registered as a limited company.
We have big plans for the future but these will take time to achieve as we are not yet able to work full time on our company projects - at least not for the time being.
We shall try and keep our website updated as much as possible and so keep an eye out for future Tractor Barn projects on these pages.
